Chelsea put a dominant screen as they cried to a 4-0 victory over Southampton at the Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
Enzo Maresca controlled the game from start to finish, with the goals of Christopher Nkinku, Pedro Neto, Levija Colwill and Marca Cucurella sealed a pronounced victory.
The game started by enjoying Chelsea in the early spells of possession as they tried to break the defensive setup of Southampton.
Despite several promising moments for visitors, including the effort of Paul Onoachu, who was comfortably dealt with by Byfilip Jorgensen, the blues looked threatening.
The breakthrough arrived in the 24th minute when Tosin Adarabioyo pulled the corner of Enza Fernandez, finding Nkunkia on the back post. The Frenchman was not wrong, nodding home from close range to make 1-0.
Chelsea’s attacking momentum continued, and just 12 minutes later Nkunk turned the service provider. He walked through the middle of the terrain before perfecting the passage to the net, which fired a strong shot next to Aaron Ramsdale in near the post to double the lead.
As the half approached, Southampton struggled to deal with Chelsea’s movements attacking fluid. Their defensive fragility was further exposed in the 43rd minute when he hit the net with a dangerous free kick, which Levi Colwill met with a thunderous header to put Chelsea 3-0 before the break.

Southampton, who succeeded in only 0.21 expected goal (xg) in the first half, looked out of ideas and overwhelmed with the intensity of Chelsea.
Despite the comfortable lead, Chelsea did not show the signs of the Saučešće after restarting. Nkinka, Palmer and Fernandez approached the extension of the leadership in the initial minutes of the second half, but Ramsdale produced a number of excellent savings to make the result still unpleasant.
Southampton manager Ivan Juric has made a series of replacements in an attempt to inject energy into his side, bringing in like Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Ryan Manning and Tyler B3.
However, the saints fought to create significant chances, not managing to register a single shot in the second half.
Chelsea, meanwhile, continued to dominate possession and probe for openings. The fourth goal finally arrived in the 78th minute when Southampton’s angle was poorly performed, allowing Chelsea to counterattack.
A little densely landed down the right flank and found Tyrique George inside the box, which smartly teases Cucurella. Spanish full back showed calmness, switching the ball to his left leg before putting it into the lower corner to finish the route.
Cole Palmer, who was influential all the time, was unhappy not to appear on the leaf. Ramsdale was brilliantly saved by his free kick at the time of stopping, which stopped the frustrating evening in front of the young attacker’s goal.
