Joseph Parker took only two rounds to knock out Martin Bakole, a superb heavyweight category that entered the shortest possible notice to replace Daniel Dubois, at the Arena Arena in Riyadh.
Bakole tried a feat who was certainly unprecedented in sports. When Daniel Dubois, World IBF World Champion, got sick just two days before he needed to fight the parker, Bakola decided to replace him.
Traveling from Kinshase in DR Congo, Bakole landed in Riyadh in the early hours of Saturday morning to take over Parker, another world heavyweight category, later that night for a temporary WBO temporary title.
Parker pierced diligently to 310 LB Behemoth. But Bakole switched him hard exactly before the end of the first round.
Two gloves were eavesdropping, and then Bakola allowed a brief moment of celebration. He liked his beginning.
Fighting in gloves borrowed from Dubois, Bakola marched after Parker was in the second round.
There were a hint of the danger of Bakole as he struck the blow on his body and then his head.
Bakole was demonstrated by the New Zealand cross and came for him.
But Parker then fled over the right. Bakola cut his head high on his head. That took him away, his legs shook under him, and Bakole crashed.
Bakole used the ropes to stand up, but the judge did not allow him to continue, excluding him at 2:17 of the second round.
“Martin Bakola, thank you for accepting the challenge of flying to a short notice and gave me a good fight,” Parker said after that.
“I stayed calm, structured, assembled and I won.
“I am ready, strong, healthy and sharp. Andy Lee broke that, I had to be patient.”
The WBO temporary belt means that he should be a mandatory challenger for their world title, held by the united champion Oleksandr USYk.
“How can I fight for the world title next time?” He stated. “If Usyk wants a dance partner. I want to fight for the world title, I want to be the champion of the world again.”
Shakur Stevenson beat Josha Padley after forcing a British corner to throw a towel and pull him in a break in the ninth round.
But taking the WBC World Champion who is deep in the fight is his type of triumph for Padley.
On Tuesday, electrician Doncaster was involved in his daily work. He realized a little bit that in a few hours he would get the opportunity for a whole life in the short term to replace the sick Floyd Schofield and caused Stevenson at the ARENA in Riyadh.
The rebuttal of Stevenson is a monumental task for everyone, let alone a fighter who has never competed on such a level before. Stevenson, an elite champion, has already won world titles in three categories and is in its premiere.
Fast, smooth Jugpaw, the American star took Padley’s measure in the introductory circle. He quickly closed the distance between them in the other and trimmed the cunning challenger.
Padley hit hits and the man swung when he could. But there was a breath in speed as well as skill.
Stevenson chose a cleaner shot in the third round. He closed him hard straight, and Padley had to take off his legs under him as he tried to keep her calm.
The cruel backhand left is a remote body in the fifth round, muffled Padley’s reserves.
Stevenson began to decline on him in the sixth round, bursting Padley hooks and launching in a long lead. He moved on. But Padley turned him into a clinch and a recessed hooks on the champion, and still defied.
So often when it seemed like the challenger was about to resolve, he would find a way to return or keep inside.
But in the end Stevenson broke through. Although Padley frustrated the canvas when he lowered it, he was killed three times by his body footage on the canvas.
The corner pulled him out, beaten, but a fighter who should rightly be proud.
