Arsenal women throw their weight behind ‘Defend your tomorrow’ The campaign aimed at supporting the goal of the NHS to eliminate the cervical cancer by 2040.
‘Defend your tomorrow’ MSD UK has launched in collaboration with the attraction of Eve, and will be marked on this Sunday derby for a female north in London. Arsenal will use their platform to promote a series of messages, and activities also take place to encourage fans to visit their GP or the Defendyourtomorrow.co.uk website for information.
Leah Williamson and Arsenal teammates Katie McCabe, Kyra Cooney-Cross and Manu Zinsberger are all significant in the campaign, which seeks to raise awareness of the cervix cancer and its possible prevention through the existing NHS services such as the NHS program for the rehearsal of Cervvilje and the NHS vaccination program.
Beth Mead also appears in the campaign, with the cause particularly close to the heart of Arsenal and England, after her mother passed away just over two years ago after a long battle with ovarian cancer.
“One of the cancer that spread to my mom was also a cervical cervix,” Mead explained Sky Sports News.
“It was not the primary (but) that is another one that is close to me and something we want to raise awareness of women and girls. I think it goes a bit under the radar, and people (sometimes) know that they take healthy during the smear for smear , as easy as he once booked a meeting.
“But we want to be part of putting it. By 2040. They want to do it completely prevented, it’s a NHS plan. And obviously we would like to be part of it, help promotion, bring it out there – and hope that Cancer is no longer talking about .
“It’s a plan, and we’re in a good position and we have a platform to help promote and hope that a lot more people will help you avoid the terrible cancer as it is.”
Arsenal Vice President Williamson said: “This week means what it means to represent Arsenal and the badge we play for.
“But it is also our time to gather to protect ourselves to protect what is special to us – our health, our friends, our families and our expanded community in northern London – against cervical cancer. We know that almost all cases can be prevented and we need us gather to protect our future. “
MSD UK and Ireland CEO Ben Lucas said: “By directing the passion and reach of women’s football, especially through our engagement with women of Arsenal, we can relate to different communities throughout the UK in a meaningful dialogue about this significant health challenge. We hope that this campaign will encourage anything to seek more information about cervical cancer. . “
Athena Lampisos, Executive Director Eve Apel, Added: “The possibility of removing the cervical cancer is near. Extremely achievement and something that will save thousands of lives a year in the UK. We are delighted to have stood with MSD and Arsenal to help raise awareness of the uterine crab and what we can all do To prevent this and treat it at the earliest stage. “
