Sam Kerr Chelsea has cleared of racially worse harassment

Chelsea’s striker Sam Kerr was found guilty of racially difficult harassment after he cited a metropolitan police officer as “stupid and white.”

The jury at Crown Court Kingston issued a verdict regarding the incident, which took place in Twickenham, southwest London, January 30, 2023.

Kerr, 31, claimed that the officers “antagonized” after taking her to a police station in a taxi after disagreement.

Although she admitted that the words “stupid and white” according to PC, in Stephen Lovella, denied that her remarks were a racial offense.

The Australian International showed her relief in court, giving her thumbs to her legal team before she came out with her fiancée Kristie Mewis.

The quarrel began after the taxi driver translated Kerr and Mewis into Twickenham police station, claiming that they refused to cover the cleaning costs after one of them was ill in the vehicle.

The driver also claimed that one of the women broke the back window of the taxi.

Judge Peter Lodder noted that Kerr’s actions played a role in legal proceedings.

“I suppose her own behavior has significantly contributed to the presentation of this allegation,” he said.

“I’m not going behind a jury verdict, but that has a significant impact on the issue of costs.”

During the trial, Kerr admitted that she had regretted expressing herself, but claimed, “I feel the message is still relevant.

“I believed that he used his power and privilege over me for accusing me of being something I didn’t.

“I tried to express that because of the power and privileges they had, they would never have to understand what we had just gone through and the fear we had for our lives.”

It was now revealed that the Kerr’s legal team tried to dismiss the case on a preliminary hearing, claiming that the Crown Prosecutor’s Office (CPS) had misleading the proceedings.

Her lawyer, Grace Forbes, accused CPS of violating his own guidelines, stating that the “hole” was used in the scheme of the victim to justify moving forward with a one year after the alleged offense.

During the trial, PC Lovell was questioned about his statements regarding the incident. Initially, he did not mention that he was upset by Kerro’s remarks, but in another statement submitted in December 2023. He described the feeling of “shocked, upset and (I left me humiliated.”
