Postecoglou still believes in Tottenham players, despite Liverpool

Ange Postecoglou returned Tottenham’s critics and says she keeps full belief in her players despite their bad form.

The Spurs was 4-0 in Liverpool last night in the second part of their semifinals of the EFL Cup, and Merseysiders cruised 4-1 to the aggregate.

After that, Sky Pundits Jamie Redknapp and Jamie Carragher got stuck in Postecoglou and his team sitting in 14th place in the Premier League.

Former Spurs midfielder Redknapp said, “I can’t remember the team in my life, descending from less than a fight as it is today.” Carragher added: “When does Tottenham ever win a big game and win against the chances and surprises?

“Whenever they get into big games, you never think they will win.”

Villa next to fight Spurs

Next for Tottenham is another arduous task-Sunday night at Aston Villa Fourth Circle of FA Cup.

Postecoglou said, “There are a lot about them (players). I now get a crowd, it’s really easy for people to paste the boots and question the players, but I’m not something I do.

“We did not go disappointed last night the way we wanted and did not occur at levels – but it does not define this group of players in my eyes.

“We will go there on Sunday and bring out more performance that reflects where we are. I believe in these players and what they go through and how they deal with it.”

No players back because of a fairy of the conflict

Postecoglou’s mitigation is a mutilated list of injuries that made their progress this season.

Australian says the Villa game will come too early for wounded walks, but hopes to have more players available when Manchester United visits North London next weekend.

“We still hope to return to two or three for the Man UTD game, we have two full weeks of training and we should get most of these players with a little luck, provided we do not lose anyone else. I knew this would be a challenging week in terms of staff, “he said.

Richarlison kick

The striker of Brazil Richarlison will be missing in Villa Park after knocking down on Anfield with what the calf injury seemed.

“It’s disappointing to him, he was emotional, he really worked hard to get back, that’s another failure we have to deal with,” Postecoglou said.
