In his own statement, Hawley said: “North -Americans work on record credit card debt, while credit card issuers become richer and richer to the moon. ”
“It’s not just wrong, it’s exploitative. And it must end. Finishing the credit card interest rates to 10%, just as President Trump is a simple way to provide significant relief to people they work. ”
Trump spoke of rates of fees during a September campaign rally during which he exhibited his economic agenda.
“While the North -Americans work, we will put a temporary lid on the credit card interest rates,” he said. “We will do it about 10%. We cannot let them do 25 and 30%.”

After Trump was elected, Sanders promised Spearhead The legislation to do it and followed on Tuesday.
The White House was asked if Trump is still studying this action and supporting the senators’ bill, but did not comment on Fox News Digital in time for publication.
