It was a 24 -month whirlwind for Philadelphia Eagles. From February 2023, Philly made and lost Super Bowl, blowing in the playoffs last year 32-9, then chased 15 wins after the start of this season 2-2 to get back to Super Bowl.
The trouble that the Eagles had to face definitely improved the team, but Philadelphia did the front office of the master job of building a winning list just two years after a disappointing loss in Super Bowl Lvii. It could be argued that eagles are better team from top to bottom from the chief.
Let’s analyze Philly’s position group and give each unit a grade from A to F.
With 46-20 records in the regular part of the season and five playoffs from entering NFL, Jalen Hurts proved that he could win all levels. Despite this fact, I’m not a person who believes wins are a return stat. Winnings are achieved by teams.
If we look at Hurts’ passing numbers and we use it to evaluate his game, not just victories, we see a return blow that was below average on average.
With only 168.3 passages per game per game during post -season, Hurts is on average the most exposed yards among all the playoffs. He is also in the middle of a packet regarding the assessment of the attacker (105.0, attached to the sixth).
Hurts’ rating saved his racing abilities. In the playoffs (four) there is another worst rush TDS and an average of 40.7 ground yards per game.
If you read any of my super -bowl lix analyzes, then you know I think Saquoon Barkley is the best player in this game. He rushed to 2,000 meters during the regulatory season and followed this with 442 urgent meters in the playoffs (147.3 Jarda per game). I expect Saquoon to have at least 100 rush meters this Sunday.
Barkley’s backup also played well. Kenneth Gainwell averages almost 4.6 meters per wearing during the playoffs. In the meantime, Willey interrupted running at the NFC NFC Championship.
Ranning backwards is easy to one of the best positions of eagles.
I would love to see more consistency from Philly’s wide room for the receiver. After holding three catches in the first two games for 24 meters, Aj Brown captured six passes by 96 meters and a goal at the NFC Championship. At the same time, the Jahan Dotson receiver was carefree from his reception at 11 yards in the Wild Card circle.
Devont Smith was a reliable target, with four catch in each of Philly’s playoffs. Unfortunately, it did not surpass the 55 -meter mark in this postseason.
This is a talented wide receiver, but only three wide sides caught a pass by Eagles during this playoffs. This lack of production means that this position group is just average.
If it wasn’t for Kelce’s Travis, NFL fans would say that Dallas Goedert was the best end in postseason. Goedert leads all narrow ends in receiving the yard (188), while in the second place it is in receptions (15). On top of that, it was effective in a ran game as a blocker and a ball carrier (13 rush meters on two brackets). With a touchdown received in the first round of playoffs, it’s halfway to its touchdown for a regular season.
The only reason Philly’s tight ends do not get and is that I don’t know how much I can trust the Calcaterra reserve breast, which has only one admission in the playoffs. If something happened to Dallas, who is Gredert, Philly’s narrow end room would be screwed up.
The Eagles offensive line is the best unit of the team. Three out of five starters were appointed in Pro Bowl, but it’s just because it’s left -handed point Jordan Mailata is snapped from voters. In reality, the Eagles should have four Pro Bowl offensive this year.
The offensive line helped Philly an average of 179.3 rush meters per game during a regular season. That number somehow improved to 227.7 meters during postseason.
The detachment handed over 11 bags during the playoffs (related to the highest in the league), but this is partly because Jalen Hurts injured his knee in a divisional circle against Los Angeles Rams. I doubt the Philly bag would be so high if Hurts was completely healthy.
I am extremely excited to see the Eagles offensive line coincides with the defensive front of Chiefs. It will be a battle that determines who wins in Super Bowl Lix.
Most of Philly’s playing bags came from Linebacker’s position, but that did not stop the defensive lining of Eagles from the Games.
The defense accessories of Jalen Carter may be Philly’s best defensive player. It has two bags and 20 return stroke pressure (most in any defense struggle in this postseason). Also leads all the playoffs DT -au Quartterback hits and rushAccording to Pro football focus.
The associate defense move Jordan Davis was solid during the Eagles playoffs. 6’6 ″, 336 lbs. Lineman has a bag and four total fights in three games.
Even the third initiator Moro Ojomo recorded a bag and five overall fights during this ride.
With the veteran defensive area of Brandon Graham on the way to play this Sunday, the Philly defense line looks ready for a big game.
Previously, I mentioned it, but Zack Baun looked like a candidate for a defensive player of the year during this playoffs. There are 26 overall fights (second in postseason), 17 solo fights (related to the first), two passes, intercepting, forced fum and two recovery. Baun was on the whole ground and is a huge reason why the Eagles have succeeded so far.
Oren Burks and Nolan Smith Jr. They also extinguished the lights. The two combined for 36 total fights, five bags, seven fights for loss and three forced fumara. Even Jalyx Hunt has intensified his game since Dean Pao came with injury, noting five total fights in the NFC Championship game.
We also cannot forget Josha Sweat, who has five postseason attackers (the sixth majority among all the players).
Philly could have the deepest midfielder room in NFL.
Darius Slay Jr., Cooper Dejean and Quinyon Mitchell created Philly without a flight on the defensive side of the ball. Slay has five playoffs (related to the first), while Mitchell rejected four passages (bound to third), and Dejean has three passages (related to fifth place). Moreover, they combined themselves for three intercepts.
The problem comes with actually stopping teams to effectively pass the ball. Philly allows the fifth best -selling yard (245.7 yards per game) in the playoffs and the fourth most important reception yard per game (271.3).
Orgles’s return room is top -notch (the second lowest percentage permitted in the playoffs), but they lose a letter evaluation because the offenses were able to break through a lot of yards through the air.
CJ Gardner-Johnson and Reed Blankenship round up Philly’s secondary. Blankenship was a messy hero to defend Eagles with 24 total struggles (second in the team) and forced fum. More importantly, he only allowed seven admission in the playoffs, which is third among all security.
After doing nothing in the Wild Card circle, CJ Gardner-Johnson has collected 11 total fights in the last two games. He also has Five stopsWhat else is among all the security in postseason, according to PFF.
Tristin McCollum and Syndey Brown had an influence with three fights per piece.
Similar to the return room, Philly’s safety room gets B due to problems with passing yards.
