Senator Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) Critized President Trump for lining the fall of the DC aircraft to the practices of contracting diversity, equity and inclusion (Dei) in the Government.
“To say that it has to do with the color of the person in his skin or his genre, I think it is just a poor leadership,” Kelly said in an interview with “Meet the Press” by NBC News.
“And especially at a time when any president is supposed to be the consolation in chief and not the person who will try to divide us as a country, especially when you do not have the right information. And clearly he has no information in this case.” continued Kelly.
Kelly, a retired astronaut and sailor pilot, said he has been involved in similar investigations in accidents and hopes that multiple factors have contributed to the fall of Wednesday night, who apparently had no survivors of the 67 people on board of the two planes they collided.
“These accidents are often very complicated of things that happen sequentially. It is often not something that causes a major aviation accident like this,” he said.
Kelly said he trusted the research authorities.
“This is too early in the research. The NTSB is really good in that. They will do exhaustive investigation and, finally, we will see the cause of this accident, “he added.
The cause of the fall between an American airplane and a military helicopter on Wednesday night is still unknown, and research authorities have not publicly indicated who could be responsible for the fall.
