Anthony Cacace has announced that he plans to empty his IBF Super Pero Utez to look for the “greatest possible struggle” and secure the future of his family.
This move was not unexpected because it was talked about Cacace (23-1, 8) face with the former double pen category WBA category Leigh Wood following. That fight would go to the Great in the UK, where both guys have a big monitoring and can make a good money for the sale of arena or stadium. Dazn would probably show up on his platform.
Wood is not considering us fans, who mostly see him as a guy his smart promoter maneuited twice in the title, but he was unable or not willing to keep him. Initially, he won the title of WBA 126 LB from XU CAN, winning a unanimous decision in 12 rounds on July 31, 2021.
Two years later, Wood lost the title Maurcio Lara on the seventh round of the knockout on February 18, 2023. He repeated the WBA belt overlap of Lara drained Lara in Rovenian in May 2023. Wood promotes were pretty smart to match it for a quick rematch with Lara just three months after losing the title.
They used Lara enjoying his short match as the WBA champion, and he was wisely ready to defend her only three months later. It was a classic maneuvering that is done for Wood because he would probably lose it again for Lara to have more time to prepare.
If Cacace, 35, retained his IBF belt, he would have to defend himself from his mandatory Eduardo ‘Sugar’ Nunez (27-1, 27 ko) in the fight he would have a very little chance of winning. Nunez would surely destroy Cacace with his strength, pressure and youth.
“Becoming a world champion was an absolute dream and an incredibly proud moment for me. However, at this stage of my career, I only want the biggest possible struggles, regardless of the belt on the line, “said Anthony Cacace on X, deciding to empty his IBF Super Pero Founding, not to face his dangerous mandatory Eduard ‘Sugar’ Nunez ‘ .
“I am awarded and my goal is now to secure my future and family future and create a legacy for myself in boxing by involving mass struggles that fans will remember. Rejoice that we will soon announce your next fight. Look at this space,” said Cacace.
Fans want the biggest and best struggles, this is exactly what we will provide for Anto. They soon fight the news; You won’t be disappointed! https://t.co/au2o4k2em7
