DHS suspend approval of applications with gender marker “X”

Department of National security And customs and North -American customs and services will no longer be able to process applications that contain an “x” marker for gender.

A letter to DHS field operations and USCIS employees obtained by Fox News Digital advises officials to “not make a final decision on any request to produce an” x “document, citing the President Donald Trump’s Executive Order of January 20 that “prohibits using the” X “marker of our documentation and in our systems”.

“This is consistent with President Trump’s executive order that the United States recognizes two sexes, male and female,” Fox News Digital, Deputy Secretary of Public Affairs, Tricia McLaughlin, told Fox News News. “This is common sense.”

The letter occurs after Trump signed an executive order on his first day in office aimed at changing the language used by the federal government in documentation, including a movement to replace the term “gender” for “sex” in official documents.

But Trump’s order calls on all federal agencies to ensure that all documents “accurately reflect the sex of the holder”, which the order defines “the immutable biological classification of an individual.”
