De La Fuente extended the contract and will remain the Spanish menu by 2028

Luis de la Fuente was awarded a two -year extension of the Spanish management contract until success at Euro 2024.

The 63-year-old previous contract was supposed to expire after the 2026 World Cup, but is now related to the Spanish Football Federation (Rfef) by the end of the Euro 2028.

De La Fuente did an outstanding job with a little Pompe after inheriting Luis Enrique on that role after the Spanish relegation in the eighth finals at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

After working for Rfef for nine years in different roles in young teams, De La Fuente came to the highest position and achieved almost current success, opting for a more balanced team approach and throwing out some big names.

He also laid great faith in Mladost with wing players Lamine Yamal and Nicu Williams, who were key to their success in Germany last summer.

The following matches of Spain come in March when they meet the Netherlands in the two -year -old quarterfinals of the League of Nations.
