Representative Alexandria Occasio-Cortez, Dn.y., weighed President Donald Trump Feuding the President of President Gustavo Petro, but not all social media users bought their comments.
The space between Trump and Petro began when the Colombian leader refused to accept Two deporting flights over the weekend, which led to Trump to trigger retaliation measures. The two world leaders threatening to collect tariffs of products imported from 25% to 50%, and Trump ordered a prohibition of visas trips and revocations for all Colombian government officials.
“I just reported – Two repatriation flights From the United States, with a large number of illegal criminals, they were not allowed to land in Colombia, “Trump wrote about social truth.” This order was donated by the Socialist President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, who is already very unpopular among his people. “
“The denial of these Petro flights has threatened the national security and public security of the United States, so I have directed my administration to immediately take the following urgent and decisive retaliation measures.”
In a Sunday X publication, Occupation-Cortez insisted that American consumers are the only part that pays the rates.
“To” punish “Colombia, Trump is about to make all the North -Americans pay the coffee even more,” the New York congressman said in a publication. “Remember: We pay the rates, not Colombia.”
“Trump is to make inflation worse for the North -Working Class Americans, not better,” he added. “He is covering his own pockets and the billionaire class.”
Petro seemed to be a fan of AOC’s publication, resting it on his own X.
Although the rates have the potential to inflate prices, the importer, which is the company or entity that carries the goods in the United States, will pay the real rate to customs and the protection of borders in the United States ( CBP).
But swollen prices are not guaranteed, sometimes rates can reduce the world’s price of an object as suppliers rush to maintain access to the large United States market. Coffee suppliers from different countries, such as Vietnam and Brazil, may produce more coffee than Colombia, download or maintain their prices.

The tweet of Occasio-Cortez accumulated more than 47,000 likes from 20 hours, but was despised by Trump’s supporters and defenders of the rates.
“World registration. 35 minutes and the tweet already aged as hot milk,” wrote the Cathturd social media account, referring to Petro’s immediate offer to transport Colombian migrants to his presidential plane.
“Whoever means -there are other countries that export coffee, not only in Columbia,” Bill Assayli wrote of the California State Assembly.
Conservative commentator John Cardillo echoed the essay, suggesting that the South -American country “should return its illegal aliens.”
“Many other nations grow big coffee,” Cardillo wrote to X. “We can buy the coffee of them.”
Activist Adam Lowisz responded to occasion-Cortez insisting that the democratic politician “does not understand the functioning of rates”.
“The Café de Colombia will increase the price, so we will buy coffee from suppliers from other countries that recover their illegals,” wrote the conservative user of X. “Companies will doubt to invest in Colombia if they are still Bad actors. “
