Trump also promised that his administration would step in and help North Carolina fix the damage quickly, promoting “doing a good job” for the state.
“We’re going to fix it and we’re going to fix it as quickly as possible,” Trump said. “It’s a massive amount of damage. FEMA has really let us down. It’s letting the country down. And I don’t know if it’s Biden’s fault or whose fault it is, but we’re going to take care of it. Let’s do a good job.”
Trump also said he would like states to take more responsibility when a disaster strikes, arguing that those familiar with the state are better equipped to provide disaster response and relief.

Trump is scheduled to Visit California on Friday, in addition to surveying the damage from the wildfires that have ravaged the state this month.
