Belgium have appointed former Roma, Napoli and Marseille coach Rudi Garcia as their new manager.
The 60-year-old replaces Domenico Tedesco who was sacked last week after a disappointing run of results, including a last 16 exit at last year’s European Championship and a poor Nations League showing.
Thierry Henry was an early favorite for the role, but another Frenchman handed the job to Garcia.

This will be his first foray into international management.
Garcia’s last job was with Serie A side Napoli, but he was sacked after just 16 games in charge in 2023.
Belgium, who were ranked eighth in the FIFA world rankings in March, faced Ukraine in the National League play-offs.
Tedesco was signed in February 2023 with the aim of restarting the Red Devils after a disappointing end to the Roberto Martinez era at the World Cup in Qatar.
