President Donald Trump said he signed A major law that seeks to restore TikTok’s operations in the US
The order instructs federal agencies to “make a decision” that “protects national security” and saves (TikTok.)” Through the order, Trump instructs the US Attorney General to take no action for 75 days to strengthen the Protection of Americans from Foreign Adversaries. Controlled Applications Act (PAFACA), the act that banned TikTok in the US on Sunday, January 19.
“At this time, the Department of Justice will not take any action to enforce this Act or impose any penalty on any agency for noncompliance with this Act,” the Executive Order. they read. “Even after the period described above, the Ministry of Justice will not take any action to implement this law (…)”
Trump’s move comes later decision of the United States Supreme Court following PAFACA, which was passed with bipartisan Congressional support during former President Joe Biden’s term.
