Meta confirms it will keep researchers outside the US ‘for now’

Meta says it plans to keep its reality check program outside the US for now, though it may expand further.

“We’ll see how it goes as we move over the years,” Meta’s head of international business Nicola Mendelsohn. told Bloomberg in a report from Davos on Monday. “So nothing is changing globally at the moment, we are still working with researchers around the world.”

Meta was set the lighting conditions instead of going further several years in response to criticism of how his platform was used to spread fake news. With a new administration entering the White House, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram announced earlier this month instead of its researchers and group recordssimilar to which is a replacement for Elon Musk’s X.

The company may face difficulties in implementing its new software elsewhere in the world, especially in Europe, which has laws such as the Digital Services Act (DSA) instead to prevent the spread of fraudulent products.
