January is dark, to say the least, and sometimes you need to buy medicine to get through. Fortunately, the month is big on sales, including 20 percent off Google Pixel 8a. Currently, Amazon has the Google Pixel 8a available for $399, down from $499, the same deal it did on Friday.
Google Pixel 8a was released in May last year and got a 90 in our review. We thought it was a great value for a phone, even at its sticker price, and we called it the best midrange smartphone. Part of this is thanks to the 6.1-inch OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz (up from 90Hz on the Pixel 7a).
Other good features of the Google Pixel 8a include its excellent 4,492 mAh battery. In our testing, the battery lasted 20 hours and 29 minutes on a single charge. In addition, it offers excellent cameras. The Pixel 8a offers 64MP wide-angle and 13MP ultra-wide sensors as standard, but they stack up considerably compared to the Samsung 24 Ultra.
