Canon has it “,” a new live streaming app for iOS that supports up to three camera views that you can switch between with just a few taps. The app currently only works with Apple devices, and strangely isn’t compatible with Canon cameras.
Live Switcher Mobile can let users know how many seconds a view stays on the camera before automatically switching to another view. The app also supports on-screen captions, as well as real-time commentary. However, this last part only works if you stream to YouTube and Twitch, like articles, the app can also stream to other platforms supported by RTMP such as Facebook, X, Instagram and LinkedIn, among others.
Although Live Switcher Mobile is free, the premium version only supports resolutions up to 720p. There will also be ads and watermarks on the screen. A it costs $18 a month and unlocks covered images with picture-in-picture and motion functions. Of course, it will do a great upscaling up to 1080p and remove ads and watermarks.
Live Switcher Mobile, compared to free programs such as OBS Studio and Streamlabs, has fewer functions, which means that Canon has a lot of work to do to create a paid program to destroy it. Fortunately, Canon camera support is coming soon.
