Arsenal may want to take note as Fabrizio Romano and Patrick Berger have reported on it Availability of Ryan Cherki at a reasonable fee.
There’s a slight difference in the details reported by the two reporters, but the general gist of the story is that a top-quality attacking player could be an excellent option for clubs to consider if they want to bolster their attack without spending a fortune.
Arsenal certainly fall into that category at the moment due to their injury crisis in attack, with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus out for the long term.
Cherki has five goals and seven assists in all competitions for Lyon this season, and has long been regarded as a superb natural talent with plenty of talent and ability.
According to Berger, he is available in the summer for €22m, while Romano says the fee is €22.5m and also an option this January…
? EXCLUSIVE Rayan Cherki (21/??) could leave Olympique Lyon this summer for a transfer of around 22 million euros. There is a secret verbal agreement (exit option) between the player and the French club, made during his last contract extension in September. ??

??? Rayan Cherki has a verbal agreement with OL to leave in January for 22.5 million euros.
It’s a verbal pact with the player, not a formal release clause, but the same value — as @berger_pj reported.

Cherki hasn’t always been the most consistent performer, but for the price, Arsenal must surely consider it a worthwhile gamble.
The Gunners have really struggled in the final third of the season, with the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard not at their best, making Mikel Arteta’s side overly reliant on Saka, who won’t be back until later this season.
There is currently nothing to suggest that Arsenal are interested in Cherki, but it seems like an obvious opportunity for the north Londoners to explore.
Maybe the AFC will opt for someone else, but it’s not easy to make big deals in the middle of the season, so this might be the best option.
There have been occasional question marks about Cherki’s attitude and professionalism, but he is still only 21, so he could mature in the years to come and utilize his immense natural ability.
