There were some issues with Colorsoft, with reports of some customers seeing a yellow band at the bottom of their display. This article also appeared in our review section. Amazon offered to refund or replace the affected devices.

The company also sent us a second test unit where the yellow band was missing. The display looks very hot, which makes it look like a leaf. We have until we can test the switch part for a long time and make sure that the yellow-band problem does not happen again.

Page turns are fast on the seven-inch display, which has a density of 300 pixel-per-inch (ppi) for black and white content and 150 ppi for color. The device has 32GB of internal storage and supports Audio Audiobooks. The Kindle Colorsoft will run for eight weeks on a single charge and you can add battery wirelessly or via USB-C.

The ereader has an IPX8 rating. it can withstand submersion in up to 2 meters of freshwater for 60 minutes and 0.25 meters of sea water for 3 minutes, according to Amazon. Therefore, you can take the Kindle Colorsoft to the pool or the beach without worrying too much about getting wet.

There is a pinch-to-zoom feature that should be useful for those who read the graphics documentation on Colorsoft. Self-made lighting is also useful. Another good thing is that, unlike other Kindle models, Colorsoft doesn’t have any ads to block by default.
