A few days before his next investiture on January 20, president-elect donald trump stated in a Truth Social post that the incoming administration had already hired more than 1,000 people to work for the US government.
He also indicated that people who have worked for or been supported by “people suffering from Trump Disorder Syndrome” are not desirable candidates.
Trump Appointed Former US Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton as National Security Adviser Nikki Haleyformer Vice President Mike Pence and others, noting that those who have worked for or received support from such people should not be running for a job.

“To date, the incoming Trump administration has hired more than 1,000 people for the United States government. They are excellent in every way, and you will see the fruits of their labor for years to come. WE WILL MAKE AMERICA AGAIN BIG, and it’s going to happen really fast!” said the Commander in Chief entering the post.

Haley and Pence filed bids for the GOP presidential nomination during the recent election cycle, but both ultimately dropped out. While Haley supported Trump, Pence did not.

Cheney, who was one of 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump in the wake of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riots, has been an outspoken critic of Trump over the years. Last year he endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris and campaigned with the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee.
Ryan, a former speaker of the House, told Yahoo Finance last year that he would not vote for Trump, but planned to write in a Republican, as he had done last time.
Romney was one of seven Republican senators who voted to convict Trump after the 2021 House impeachment. In 2020, Romney voted for one of the two articles of impeachment against Trump. Romney, who has indicated he did not vote for Trump in 2016 or 2020, said last year that he would not vote for Trump in 2024.
