The Whites make an offer for Dje D’avilla from UD Leiria

Leeds United have reportedly submitted a £3.3m bid – including performance-related bonuses – to sign UD Leiria midfielder Dje D’avilla.

It is according to Sport TV Portugal journalist Sebastiao Sousa Pintowho says an official offer has arrived for the 21-year-old Ivorian defensive midfielder.

D’avilla, who currently plays in Portugal’s second division, has attracted the interest of several clubs, but a potential move to Elland Road Club is facing complications due to work permit issues, it is believed.

“You fucking cheater!” – Which Man Utd star absolutely lost to an Arsenal player during a fiery FA Cup clash?

Another problem is the fact that the youngster signed a new contract a few months ago only until the summer of 2027, and that contract had a £12.5m release clause attached to it.

Sousa Pinto stated on X, formerly known as Twitter, via MOTLeds: “Leeds United have made a £3.3m bid to sign Djé D’avilla – including targets. The transition to England is considered difficult because of the work permit. Several clubs have shown interest in signing the midfielder.”

But the central midfield position is one of the most stocked areas for Daniel Farke’s side, with Ilio Gruev and Ethan Ampadu returning from injury.
