Conservatives on social media are celebrating President-elect Trump Attorney General nominee Pam Bondi’s response to a question from Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, DR.I., during her confirmation hearing Wednesday.
“Wouldn’t it be appropriate for a prosecutor to start with a name and look for a crime?” Whitehouse said during his line of questioning. “It’s a prosecutor’s job to start with a crime and find a name. Correct?”
Bondi responded by highlighting the federal government’s investigations into Trump.
“Senator, I think that’s the whole problem with the weaponization that we’ve seen over the last four years and what’s happened to Donald Trump,” Bondi said.

“They targeted Donald Trump. They went after him, actually starting in 2016. They ran his campaign. They’ve launched countless investigations against him. It’s not going to happen. If I’m attorney general, I’m not going to politicize this office.”, Bondi said. “I will not target people simply because of their political affiliation. Justice will be administered impartially across the country. Senator, we must bring this country back together. We must move forward or we will lose. our country.”
