The CEO of Sonos is also leaving the company

Sonos continues to clean house as the company finds success in its track record updating the mobile app last year. A day after CEO Patrick Spence the company’s chief product officer Maxime Bouvat-Merlin is also leaving. He will act as an advisor to CEO Tom Conrad during the leadership transition before leaving Sonos.

Conrad Sonos employees about the latest leadership change in a company email today. The CPO role is being disrupted, with the Sonos team reporting directly to Conrad for now.

Sonos has been in trouble since it released a mobile app in May that was riddled with bugs and lacked functionality. The company’s financial results were down, and just barely there in August. Sonos has made several efforts to retain customers his to recover from the implementation of the program, and the decision to replace the top management is seen as the latest move to restore public faith in the business.
