Chinese government officials are said to have discussed how ByteDance sells the TikTok arm in the United States to Elon Musk, if The Supreme Court upheld the ban on the program on January 19.
Bloomberg reports that China would much prefer TikTok to be under the ownership of ByteDance, but it is said that government officials see the sale to Musk as part of the plan to work with the administration of President Donald Trump.
