AI is power hungry and the companies behind the technology are working hard install nuclear weapons feeding it. But nuclear reactors take a long time to build and AI will need a lot of power before they are ready. So where will it come from? In the US, gas. The AI revolution will pump more gas into the atmosphere.

In an announcement about Meta’s Louisiana data center, Entergy – the company’s energy partnerhe said it would add cleaner, more efficient power plants to its system to meet growing energy demands. It wasn’t big on the actual schedule of his breath. “Meta has pledged to integrate electricity consumption with 100% clean and renewable energy and will work with Entergy to bring at least 1,500 MW of new electricity to the grid through its Geaux Zero program,” the press release said.
