The fan is watching you — and trying to keep you cool. Pa Cost of CES 2025I stood there as the fan in the room recognized my presence and started looking at me. It was a welcome relief, especially on the trade show floor.
Dreo’s motion sensor, the PolyFan 707S, can detect when someone is in the room, as well as detect multiple people. I watched the navigation bar as its lights moved from green to red, indicating where the Dreo representative and I stood within his field of vision. When he stepped aside, the fan just locked his eyes on me.
The fan uses millimeter-wave radar to track those in the room and adjust their direction. With a 150 degree vision and oscillation, it can cover almost the entire room when placed in a corner.
Plus, aside from the motion sensor, the PolyFan 707S is smarter than your average fan in other ways as well. It integrates with the Dreo app, allowing you to control it wherever you are. It is also related to Google Home, Apple HomeKit and Alexa. The price isn’t available yet, but a Dreo representative told me to expect it to be between $150 and $200 when it launches in May 2025.
I saw it as another Dreo fan fan turns into a space heater and back into a fan. The secret lies in the heating element that goes into the front of the fan section of Dreo’s MC706 2-in-1 tower fan and heater. It moves like a large, slow, and massive machine – reminiscent of the back door to Jabba the Hutt’s castle in Star Wars.
The fan runs quickly from blowing cool air (although this is not an air conditioner, just a fan) to blowing hot air. Dreo says it can change in seconds. The heater has a power of 1500W and comes with overheat protection and overheat detection, as you would expect from any heater.
It comes equipped with a thermostat that allows you to set the temperature anywhere between 41 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit, and also includes a remote for added convenience.
Price of MC706 already sold outwith an MSRP of $170.
If you’re looking for an affordable heater that can heat up an entire room while sitting at a table or desk, I’ve finally spotted one upcoming Dreo product that fits the bill. It’s a rotary heater — the SH615 — and is expected to sell for about $100, the rep told me.
As a rotary heater, it works like a combination heater with a built-in heater. Instead of rotating back and forth, it uses 3D rotation to distribute the warm air in the room in different directions. Its small size makes it ideal for placing on a desk or table, which can provide constant, comforting warmth.
