All kinds of technology are on display at CES, from the mundane to the wild — and often with exotic devices. who steals the show. Thousands of exhibitors come from all over the world to show off their gear, and you’ll never know what they’ll come up with. The cost of CES 2025 certainly did not disappoint on the front-and-wacky tech front. Below, we’ve rounded up the most amazing tech at CES 2025 that we encountered — all the crazy (and useful) gadgets we spotted out in the wild. Remember: awesome doesn’t mean bad – we want to buy some of these! But it’s not what you use for your laptop or TV from a big company that you can find at your local big box store.
Do you want to look like a professor at Hogwarts while charging your cell phone effortlessly? Then we have your hat. The EcoFlow Power Hat it also includes Monocrystalline Silicon solar cells and two charging ports. It looks dorky, sure, but it also looks very useful. It costs $129 and is available right now.
VR can easily show us the digital world, but it can’t do much for the natural world. That’s where this cool, rotating chair comes in Inner VR Explorer it moves where you tilt your head and is designed to work with Meta Quest headphones, but can be combined with other models. Surprisingly, it does not seem to cause motion sickness. It costs $800 and is available now.
It wouldn’t be CES without a cute robot to steal our hearts. This year’s cutie-pie is Yukai Mirumiand it is an absolute piece of fluffball. What it does is look beautiful and catch the eye, sometimes it just looks in places that are hard to find. But that’s enough. Playing with them is like getting to know a new cat, and we’re fine with that. It should cost around $80 when it hits the public platform later this year.
Sun umbrellas are a great idea. The object has already been opened, to provide the much needed shade, so that it can absorb water from the sun. That’s Anker’s idea behind Solix Solar Beach Umbrella. It uses perovskite solar cells in its panels, which are efficient, and provide up to 80W of power. We don’t have pricing or availability for this one, but it should arrive sometime this summer.
This is not a drill. The Roborock Saros Z70 The robot vacuum boasts real robotic arms that pick things up from the floor while they clean. It can carry items up to 300 grams, so it excels in dark socks, pet toys and light shoes. However, there seems to be a cap on the number of things AI can detect. This fast Robovac has no price or release date yet.
The Mecha Systems Comet it’s the laptop of our dreams. This little doodad is a compact, Linux-based computer designed for hobbyists, engineers, artists and roboticists. It has a 1.8 GHz ARM64 Quad-core processor, 32GB of storage and 4GB of RAM. However, they are all add-ons and customizations. The magnetic nature of the images allows people to draw on all kinds of control panels for special use. I am coming to Kickstarter recently, with a starting price of $160.
Here’s another robot, and this one looks exactly like Pixar’s iconic lightsaber. The Jizai Mi-Mo it is described as a “super-purpose AI robot” that “thinks and acts” on its own. It has a built-in camera and microphone, and uses a variety of major languages to recognize speech and images. The company hopes that the robot will one day be used to care for children, such as reminding children to do their homework. This is just an example, so there is no price or availability.
Why bother with a microphone and headphones when you can just opt for this 2-in-1 oddball? The AirStudio One it’s a great wireless microphone for hiding under the floor. When you open the chassis, there’s an audio interface, a USB-C wireless dongle and true wireless headphones. We haven’t been able to get a sense of how the mic sounds (CES is noisy) but this could be a huge benefit to musicians when it’s released later this year.
Here’s a robotic vacuum cleaner with a stand that lets them move around the house carrying something, like an air purifier or a tablet. The SwitchBot K20+ Pro she is described as a “multitasking” domestic helper who can do things besides cleaning the floor. To that end, it supports a variety of interfaces and seamlessly integrates with other SwitchBot devices. Optionally, this facility can also serve drinks and snacks. It’s going on sale later this year, but there’s no price.
The Haus.me microhaus Pro it is a small house with no small desires. It can be installed anywhere, requires no professional installation or maintenance and is California earthquake and fire rated and CAT-5 hurricane compliant. This 120-square-foot space also includes floor-to-ceiling windows, a walk-in shower, kitchenette and a Murphy bed that folds out to reveal a table and two bench seats. Prices start at $35,000, which isn’t bad considering, well, it’s a home. Pre-orders are now open.
Looking for a unique piece for your game room? The Govee Gaming Pixel Light it comes in two sizes, with the option of being placed on a desktop or mounted on a wall. Out of the box, users can choose from 150 pixel images, but that’s just the beginning. The device can be configured, either on the display itself or by using another program. The app features a chatbot, which allows people to express what they want to see. Pretty cool, right? It will be available later this year and should cost $100.
MSI created a CPU waterproof case for CES 2025 that has a built-in switch and it’s pretty cool.
It is unfortunate that there is no plan to put it into actual production.
Also, the image of Lucky the dragon is not included.@engadget pic.twitter.com/X70XJeAq8I

The MSI Mag Coreliquid A13 it’s a CPU cooler with a built-in turntable. Yes. You read that correctly. It is based on the Mag Coreliquid A15 360, but adds a beautiful rotating table that fits inside the computer. Now, the word turntable is appropriate here, but it doesn’t play records. Instead, MSI showed the device being used around the dragon mascot. It’s really cool and I really want it, but it’s just speculation for now. MSI has no plans to sell this product.
