How to turn off Apple Intelligence-powered notifications

It’s iOS 18Apple was hit Apple Intelligencewhich has an AI-powered feature for summarizing information. When you receive multiple notifications from a single app, the feature summarizes the information on a single card that appears on the lock screen. You can remove the stack after reading the summary, or click to view your information.

However, its appearance is not always accurate. Sometimes, it brings amazing resultsand sometimes it fails to properly read the information content and integrate it obvious mistakes. If you think the notification summary is causing confusion rather than being helpful, you can turn it off or customize it.

On iPhone/iPad

Go to Settings > Notifications and click on the Notification Summary tab. There are two options: You can turn off AI-powered notification summarization for all apps by changing the Summarize Notifications option at the top, or you can turn off notifications for each app.

On the Mac

Click on the Apple menu in the upper left corner and go to System Settings > Notifications. Click the Notifications Summary tab, then turn off Summarize Notifications. Similar to the iPhone/iPad options, you can turn off the notification summary for selected apps.

There is no way to turn off a summary of information about a specific group of programs, such as news, products, resources, shopping, travel, and money.

Apple said in January that it would release it software updates to better reflect information summaries generated by AI and may contain some errors.
