Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn is concerned that Tyson Fury could decide not to fight again following his loss to Oleksandr Usyk three weeks ago.
The ‘King of the Gypsies’ was undoubtedly reeling from his second defeat against the talented Ukrainian, bitter about what he believes is yet another robbery.
Fury has already made a ton of money, sitting like a king atop a vast fortune estimated at 160 million dollars snitchers. He doesn’t need the extra money that two fights against Joshua would bring him. Tyson could freeze out AJ, Hearn and the fans just for that.
Joshua-Fury is seen in the boxing public as two former players anyway, and it would be considered greedy if they fought now. The public would have been excited to see this match if the fight had happened a few years ago.
Now it’s two old British guys, both filthy rich beyond anyone’s wildest dreams, looking to bulk up J. Paul Getty’s wealth.
“Tyson Fury is the fight he wants,” said Eddie Hearn Sky Sports Boxing on Anthony Joshua wanting to fight Tyson Fury in 2025 “The real key in this is Tyson Fury. Three more weeks from defeat. He’s probably still upset and probably still thinking about that loss. We have to see if he wants to fight again, and if he wants to fight again, what else can Fury do?”
Hearn looked like a worried ice cream vendor at the Ring Awards, talking about the Fury-Joshua fight. It would be better if Turki Al-Shiekh decides to make AJ and Tyson deserve this fight by insisting that they take these fights first to show that they still have:
If Joshua and Fury pass these tests, it would make sense for Turki to pull the trigger on this fight. At least the fans could respect that.
