Fortnite Festival adds a local connection so you can relive the glory days of Rock Band and Guitar Hero

Fortnite Festival will be supporting local musicians from Tuesday 14th January, meaning you can sit down in a room with your friends and join the plastic guitar players together for a good days out. Of course, most of us probably don’t have plastic guitars anymore, but pickups will always work just as well. The feature is coming to Xbox and PlayStation, and up to four local players will be supported during the Grand Staircase Festival. Maybe it’s a desire to speak, but what kind of rules?

For those who don’t know, Fortnite Festival is a music video game developed by Epic and Harmonix (best known for Rock Band and the original Guitar Hero titles). It was first released at the end of 2023. In addition to normal controllers, the game also supports Rock Band 4 guitar controllers for Xbox, PlayStation and PC, as well as the newly released PDP Riffmaster.
