CES 2025 was a great showcase for companies making good on the promises of previous years. In these cases, we have become accustomed to seeing some kind of equipment after the stages of ideas and prototypes, with the details of the final design and releasing the windows of “the end.” This year, however, the vibe was ready to be unleashed. Several high-profile projects that debuted at CESes are back with specific plans and specific release dates, and many of these products are available right now. It’s a true miracle of CES.
Remember Ballie, the rolling robot that Samsung launched in 2020 brought to CES 2024? This is the kind of product that we hope we will never see again, that will not disturb the graveyard of consumer electronics, but this year Samsung revealed the final shape of Ballie and put its release window in the first half of 2025. a beautiful yellow robot that resembles a bowling ball, with Between us-Style cutout home projector that allows you to project images and videos on your walls and floor. This is exciting news from Samsung, and while we don’t know the exact price or release date, the news that it’s coming out this year is a welcome change.
Sony Honda Mobility’s Afeela 1 is available to order now, almost five years after Sony announced its intention to enter the EV market. Afela 1 started as the Vision-S car, which Sony unveiled at CES 2020and it took the name of Afela in 2023 After Sony and Honda launched their partnership to produce EVs. At CES 2025, Sony Honda Mobility opened reservations for the Afeela 1 Origin and Afeela 1 Signature, which respectively cost $89,900 and $109,900. Reservations are currently available for California customers, and the first vehicles will be delivered in 2026. It’s great to see Sony’s EV ambitions come to fruition after half a decade of construction.
One of the topics we published this year with the word “finally” in it was given to Displace TV’s wireless 4K OLED screens with stickers. First revealed on CES 2023Displace nursing cups now ready to eat moreand is available for pre-order and will ship in March. Displace sells two models, Basic and Pro, both with 4K OLED displays and screen sizes of 27 inches or 55 inches. Both support traditional controls, too. The 27-inch Basic model goes for $2,500, while the 55-inch Pro is $6,000, with other prices in between.
Speaking of TVs, the hottest home entertainment technology at CES 2024 was LG’s brilliant OLED T – and this year, it’s officially on sale. LG brought the OLED T to CES 2025, just a few weeks after the show hit the market for an eye-watering price of $60,000. The OLED T is a 77-inch, 4K, flat screen TV, and although it costs as much as a luxury car, it performs amazingly well.
Here’s another idea that we were willing to forget about forever: Lenovo’s portable laptop. A few products with round screens have hit CES starting in 2019and Lenovo has been talking about its idea to release a laptop starting in 2022. At CES 2025, the company presented its first ready-to-market model, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable. It has a powerful OLED display that expands from 14 inches to 16.7 inches at the push of a button, and we found it incredibly beautiful in man. The ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable should go on sale this spring, expected to start at $3,500.
Note that this list isn’t just about products that fit in your home — some of the products that are coming to market after previous CES appearances are real homes. Pebble brought its Flow all-electric RV trailer at CES 2024 and even opened pre-orders that year, but at CES 2025the company shared its final design and began production. The Pebble Flow should ship this spring, starting at $109,500 and going up to $175,000.
AC Future brought ideas for its flexible RV home to CES 2024, and at the 2025 show, the company revealed finished product. AC Future’s Ai-TH line comes in three models: a delivery pod (No-Thu), trailer (No-THt) and EV RV driving (No-THd). The RV expands into a 400-square-foot home with one bedroom, one bathroom, living room, kitchen with full-size refrigerator, two-burner stovetop and microwave. The bathroom also has a washer and dryer. Production on the Ai-TH model will begin as soon as AC Future returns home from CES 2025, and orders are still available, priced at $98,000 for the pod, $138,000 for the trailer and $298,000 for the EV RV.
It’s always nice to see new things like this become reality. The number of real-world announcements released in CES 2025 is refreshing, and seems to bode well for the current consumer trend.
