Amazing Games Happening Soon also raises $2.5 million for cancer charities


The week-long Awesome Games Done Quick 2025 race ended early Sunday morning, and organizers say they managed to raise $2,556,305 for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

As we might expect, the event in Pittsburgh brought a good mix of creativity and stupidity: there was Crazy Taxi speed with the band; FunkopotamusWes played the piano while running New Super Mario Bros. Wiiusing his head and feet to control the game using the controls; and Dr. Doot did Elden ring bosses running around using an electric saxophone. Yes, the saxophone made a few the doctor they are always heard.

The tournament ran continuously from January 5-12, so there are plenty of other great times including this one to catch up on if you missed it. All can be found on the website Sports Done Fast YouTube channel.

AGDQ is one of the charity events held by Games Done Quick every year, and the following, Return to Black coming in February. Focusing on Black audiences and athletes, the event (Feb 6-9) will raise money for the non-profit organization, Race Forward. Over the years, Games Done Quick has raised more than $54 million for various charities including the Prevent Cancer Foundation and Doctors Without Borders. The value of AGDQ he raised nearly $2.5 million during his run last year, too.
