AC Future made its debut in the award-winning smart home category at CES 2024, earning an Honorary Mention in Fast Company’s Design by Innovation Awards and two Good Design awards in the Transportation and Graphic categories. Now the company is back to Cost of CES 2025 and sustainable vision: Collaboration with an Italian design company Pininfarina, AC Future has arrived with a full range of smart home models — and you can order one now.
The live solutions are (currently) named AI-THu, AI-THt and AI-THd. Each shows what luxury home life can look like buying a traditional house it is out of reach for most people. Our favorite is AITHu, a smart and sustainable 400-square-foot home starting at $98,000.
This smart home has built-in speakers, home security, Wi-Fi and more.
AI-THu has a basic platform combined with a 40-square-foot outdoor balcony. The best designs start with an all-purpose space that can be converted into an office or extra room if needed. The house can be extended in several ways to add to the original room and other spaces. Accessories from barbecue to floor storage allow buyers to choose what they want, creating up to 1,200 home plans.
The AC Future tiny house is designed for expansion in all directions, including patio additions and more.
AI-THU comes with smarts AI technology which helps control lighting, heating, cooling and equipment, among other things. Solar movies (which can heat water), water recycling systems and atmospheric water production are also built. Smart options like a multi-channel sound system and home security with optional monitoring for a small home, do everything for the future.
This complete home design allows AI-THU to perform to the grid when needed — but independents may want to check out AC Future’s other offerings, including a 24-foot home trailer and an AI-THd powered home for those I want a luxury car lifestyle.
AC Future designs also include solar panels, water harvesting, water recycling, water heater and more.
First deliveries of the mini smart home are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, so eager buyers will have a short wait. There’s another catch — AC Future is partnering with crypto company Biomatrix at CES, and you’re strongly encouraged to download the Biomatrix app and use its tokens to secure your order for any AC Future home.
That said, $100,000 cottages sound pretty cool when they’re packed with this kind of technology, and we have made small houses as the best way to get better at microfinance (or go on the road). It’s also nice to see a lot of energy and water saving features built into it.
The driver’s cabin design is very compact to fit a large smart van.
However, you may want to wait until the smart technology combined with the standard features are thoroughly tested before making the final call. At the moment, it’s a lot of fun and promises to be made, and we want to see real world action.
