Text messages and online chats can combine words, pictures and emojis to convey a message. Words and pictures can be easy to understand, but when someone sends an emoji it can feel like you’re writing a private message.
“π” or “β€οΈ” is easy to understand, but what is the difference between “π©” and “π”? Over time, the meanings of emoji have become fixed depending on the context of the message and many cultures.

Emojipedia is the online emoji encyclopedia Powered by emoji searchers. The site sorts emoji into nine categories, including Smileys, People, Objects, Activities and more. Each group divides the emoji into different categories. So when you click on Smileys, for example, you’ll see sections like Smiling & Loving and Sleepy & Restless.
