The Xbox Elite Series 2 Core controller retails for $98

If you’re in the market for a new controller, you’re in luck. Microsoft’s Xbox Elite Series 2 Core controller is being sold $98 at Amazon and Objectivesdown from $130. That means about $3 off the lowest price so far – a great opportunity to upgrade to something even better.

We encouraged Xbox Elite Series 2 Core controller in the past, and this depends on its ability to give you the best of $180 Xbox Elite Series 2 controller at an affordable price. These include the fit and finish of a rubber grip and durable, long-lasting versions of traditional control triggers, triggers and controls (they’re all the rage here). On top of that, it has up to 40 hours of battery life.

The Elite Series 2 Core also lets you customize the settings of your favorite games and triggers, and remap the controller’s buttons in the Xbox Accessories app. This is useful if there are settings you want Call of Duty: Warzone against something relaxing, like Piñata, long life, or if you share your controller with someone else.

The biggest downside to the Xbox Elite Series 2 Core controller, in addition to the limited color options you can buy anywhere other than Xbox Design Lab, is the lack of accessories. Included in the price of the regular Xbox Elite Series 2 controllers are a variety of fun models, controller controls and back paddles that you can include when you want to try out a new setup. This is not included at all with the Core controller. Instead, there are awkward divots on the back of the controller where the paddles need to be attached.

It’s a bit of an annoyance in the grand scheme of things, and one that can be rectified by purchasing those items when you realize you really need them. Even without paddles, the Xbox Elite Series 2 Core controller should feel fun to use, and when you’re trying to get through a long RPG, that’s what’s needed.
