Gomez criticized the industry’s focus on computing, saying that “the quality of data and new technologies such as artificial intelligence have contributed more to progress over the past 18 months than growth.” He added that this strategy has made Cohere “a much more cost-effective system than our competition.”
The platform allows workers to create and adapt AI tools to their needs without requiring technical expertise. Early adopters include the financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and construction industries—sectors where data security limits AI adoption.
North is currently available through early access programit is targeting the financial, health, manufacturing, and key infrastructure sectors. The implementation could also change the way businesses use AI technology, as companies prioritize security and customization over computing power.
“Going forward, every company will be an AI company,” said Gomez, emphasizing the need for secure solutions that can be deployed quickly.
