A number of reports, including The Telegraph, suggest the east Londoners are courting each other Graham Potter.

The former Chelsea and Brighton manager has been a free agent since being sacked by the Blues in April 2023 and appears to have been waiting for the right opportunity to come his way.

Should he be confirmed as taking over the London Stadium, he certainly has a big job on his hands to turn things around.

A terrible record shows why West Ham could replace Julen Lopetegui

Although the football under David Moyes was not particularly pleasing to the eye, at least the Irons became regulars in Europe.

If it was thought that Lopetegui could move them forward, that idea has been given a clear answer in 20 Premier League games.

The Spaniard achieved only six victories, with nine losses, and the other five draws. Only the bottom two clubs in the English Premier League, Southampton and Leicester City, have a worse goal difference than the Hammers -15, so it’s no surprise that the East Londoners might look elsewhere.
