The Omnia is still very much a concept – a popular phenomenon in the automotive world that has made its way into consumer electronics. That is to say that Withings’ splashiest product of Cost of CES 2025 it may not be an invention. Among other things, a smart body-monitoring glass would be more affordable for consumers.
According to Withings, Omnia is “not just a product – it’s a revolutionary experience that also considers digital health opportunities.” Certainly the idea of analyzing the health of the whole body every day is appealing to many potential customers. This, however, comes after a decade of failed smart mirror projects.
The “emotional design” can provide a 360-degree view of the body, providing information on the user’s weight, as well as heart and lung health. Other metrics such as sleep, activity, and nutrition may be derived from a connected device.
The glass itself can be touch-enabled, as well as a voice assistant. Omnia can also serve as a telemedicine portal for healthcare professionals, who can access metrics and provide advice accordingly.
Withings says the system is “developing,” pending things like clinical evaluation and other AI features. It adds, however, that some of the above will be available in some form through the Withings app sometime in 2025.
