The new Circular smart ring has a built-in ECG

To this day, I can count on one finger the number of smart rings that provided a single-line ECG in a small package. Bodimetrics’ Circus+ it started in 2021, but what it had in heart rate analysis didn’t have the style, or look like a real ring. Today on Cost of CES 2025However, Circular is introducing its second-generation ring that promises to monitor your heart health.

We had a chance to see the ring today at CES Unveiled and it really shines. They are also very light. The sensors inside the ring are visible as soon as you take the ring off, but after a minute or so of wearing it, it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a ring.

Circular says the Ring 2 has advanced sensors and the aforementioned ECG, eight-day battery life and a convenient wireless charging port. The company added that the software that works with AI has been redesigned to provide “a more intuitive user experience.” Not to mention that the body is now cast in titanium with a finish of four colors; Gold, Silver, Black and Rose Gold.

This latest generation doesn’t have the vibration that was featured in the first Circular ring, but the company’s co-founder told us that vibration is coming back soon. Meanwhile, the second-generation rings should hit shelves in February or March 2025, but the company says it will set you back $380 when it does.
