Samsung brings the definition of TV to CES 2025

At CES 2025, Samsung announced that it is bringing a popular product from the company’s phones and tablets to its TVs.

Live Translate does exactly what it says on the box, enabling users to translate in real time for broadcast. The section will operate in seven different languages - although it is not known which at the time of publication. In its original form, the system works by interpreting the speech encoded on the radio, rather than listening to the speech directly.

Instant Translations was introduced in early 2024 as part of the launch of the Galaxy S24. It works in 13 front-end languages - almost double what the TV model is launching.

The company is also adding AI-based Voice Removal and Audio Subtitles, which it says will focus on the visually impaired. According to Samsung, the new feature will “analyze small text, isolate words and adjust the reading speed for better understanding.”

All of these are being introduced in the 2025 TV lineup. There is no word yet on whether Samsung will offer any compatibility with the older models.
