HP will unveil several AI desktops and laptops at the AMD/Intel event at CES

HP announced new AI computers and games during Advanced Micro Devices and Intel’s press events Cost of CES 2025 today.

It’s another sign that AI is starting to spread to the desktop and AI PC is one of the strongest lines at the big tech show in Las Vegas this week. HP is there too play the field with many different machines in many groups.

An AI powered laptop

HP EliteBook Ultra G1i 14-inch notebook next-gen AI PC.

On the AI ​​PC side, HP unveiled the HP EliteBook Ultra G1i edition of the next generation AI PC.

This machine has a low profile and a next generation AI processor capable of 48 TOPS (signal AI). HP says it sets a new standard for video calls with the AI-enhanced Poly Cam Pro and a new 9MP camera. You’ll be able to make your voice heard and hear others easily through the dual microphones and quad speakers.

It also has a haptic stylus that provides customizable feedback. You can use different pressure levels to adjust the shape and gestures to change the action at 100%.

The device is equipped with the latest generation of Intel Core Ultra processors that are designed for AI software. It has three computer engines to control the number of AI tasks, improve the video conference and allow for high-quality content. It uses Intel Core Ultra 5 or 7 processors with NPUs.

The weight of the laptop starts at 2.63 pounds and it has a 14-inch 2888 x 1800 UWVA non-touch screen. It uses integrated Intel graphics and has 16GB or 32GB of LPDDRX memory. It has storage options of up to 1TB or 2TB and runs on 65 watts of power.

HP also has other AI laptops aimed at business customers. They include the HP EliteBook Ultra G1i 14-inch notebook for the next generation AI PC, X Flip G1i and X G1i.

A mini AI workstation desktop

HP Z2 Mini G1a Workstation Desktop PC

Among the announcements is the HP Z2 Mini G1a Workstation Desktop PC, which is a small workstation that HP says will offer AI improvements.

This is an AI PC that can be used to create 3D designs at the same time as presenting visual projects or working locally on LLMs. It has the AMD Ryzen AI Max Pro processor, which AMD announced at the show. It has up to 16 CPU cores, 128 GB of memory and the ability to assign up to 96GB of RAM to the GPU. It can handle more AI-intensive or heavy-duty projects locally. About five of these units can fit into a 4U rack.

You can climb up to 50 TOPS locally on NPU. The Z2 also has 60% recycled plastics, 20% recycled metals, 100% recycled outer packaging and is EPEAT Gold Climate+.

HP ZBook Ultra 14-inch G1a for mobile use.

Another interesting laptop is the HP ZBook Ultra 14-inch G1a PC for mobile use.

This is a thin, efficient battery and has the newly announced AMD Ryzen AI Max Pro processor with 16 computer cores of CPU cores, integrated graphics and 128GB memory. The system can also provide up to 96GB of RAM to the GPU and hit the TOPS 50 with its NPU.

HP 720 Multi-Device Rechargeable Wireless Keyboard and + Mouse

On the front, HP unveiled the HP 400 Quiet Wireless Mouse, the Poly Voyager Legend Series and the HP 720 Multi-Device Rechargeable Wireless Keyboard and + Mouse.

On the desktop front, HP unveiled the HP OmniDesk Desktop PCs (with Intel and AMD processors) and the HP OmniStudio X Next-Gen AI PC. The latter is a 27-inch all-in-one desktop AI PC with Intel processors.
