LG packs a lot of punch its 2024 to 2025 soundbar linebut the company has one new model that it plans to release this year. At CES, I have a preview of an integrated speaker, the S20A, that will boost your listening experience on your TV without taking up too much space. The 2.0-channel unit provides 50 watts of power and works well with LG TVs.
When paired with one of the company’s TVs, you can expect its Wow Interface to allow you to change audio through the TV UI. There is also AI Sound Pro tech that adjusts the sound based on each part. LG will offer a three-band EQ on the S20A, so you can adjust the treble, mids and bass to suit your taste.
During a quick demo of the S20A, I was impressed with the power output and the sound quality from the small unit. LG says it doesn’t come with a subwoofer as the company uses soundbar drivers for low volume. Of course, this setup doesn’t offer the bass that’s going well with wireless speakers, but the company doesn’t see it as a problem at this point. We look forward to testing that theory later in the year when the S20A becomes available for review.
There’s no word on pricing or availability as LG is teasing the new handset here at CES. That information, as well as more detailed information, must be forthcoming in order to be implemented.
