Republican Rep. Virginia Foxx, RNC, received attention after falling to the United States Capitol On Friday, Fox News found out.
Foxx, who chairs the House Education Committee, fell on a ladder on the GOP side of the Capitol soon after. the House voted to re-elect Rep. Mike Johnson as Speaker of the House.
The 81-year-old congresswoman was bleeding after the incident and was being treated by Capitol medical staff.

The deputy appeared to have blood on her nose, but it is unknown if she suffered any serious injuries.
Foxx was seen walking after the incident and was reportedly being led by medical assistants to the Capitol doctor’s office.

The congresswoman assured she was fine after the fall with a humorous post on social media.

“Thanks everyone for your prayers – just a few small cuts, and I’m doing fine,” Foxx wrote in a post on X. “I’m a mountain woman and we’re tougher than a $2 steak.”
