Elon Musk appears to have taken Britain by storm – at least via tweet. This week, right-wing American billionaires caused a stir by unleashing a firestorm against Keir Starmer, the leader of the Labor Party and UK prime minister. Musk has been at odds with Starmer since he was elected, and this week, he successfully used his platform, X, to urge King Charles to dissolve the British parliament and sack the prime minister.
More often than not, Musk has tried to portray the Starmer government as a corrupt, incompetent government that is hurting Britain. To reduce the message effort, Musk he sent a message back this week from a commenter who said: “Who thinks the KING should suspend parliament and order an election for the sake of national security? The King needs to act before it’s too late!” Musk responded to the user’s post, simply saying: “Yes.”
That’s not all Musk did. The American billionaire has also been involved in scandals preparing children for street gangs and used the episode to criticize Starmer for failing to account for child labor in his country, says Starmer was “those involved in the RAPE OF BRITAIN.” The scandal concerns the activities of “gangs” in the north of England, which are said to be made up mainly of abusers. South Asian or British Pakistani heritage. After all, Musk was accused of “intervening” in the rape of teenage girls as a way of furthering his righteous goals.
At the same time, Musk announced his support for Tommy Robinson, a far-right political activist and corrupt judge with a history of violence who is serving time in prison. Robinson, whose name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, has been so-called “anti-Islam” opposition and is accused of Islamaphobia. “Free Tommy Robinson!” Musk wrote. Robinson/Lennon was the founder of the English Defense League, an organization that is now defunct against radical Islam. Musk caused so much trouble that Trump’s allies had to distance themselves from the comments. Indeed, Bloomberg reports that “political leaders in the UK on the right” reached out “to allies with Donald Trump, urging the US President’s team not to approve the British activist Tommy Robinson.”
Why does Musk make Starmer so bad? No one knows for sure, though it’s hard not to see it as a massive effort to make the incoming liberal government look bad so that another (supposedly conservative) government will soon take its place. That said, it’s not like Musk is the first American plutocrat to disrupt UK politics. Yes, the central connection US billionaires and efforts to rebuild Britain being a rightwing dystopia, it has been well established for some time.
One reason Musk and his team may be worried about Starmer is that he is the British prime minister in years who has not been comfortable with American politics and liberalism. Boris Johnson, who served as PM between 2019 and 2022, in particular schmoozed with pro-Trump people, he called himself a liberal, and his principles were very shaped and the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), a think tank that is part of an international liberal group called Atlas. Although the Atlas Network was founded by a British citizen, it is based in the US and enjoys partnerships with various American organizations, including the Heritage Foundation and ALEC (pro-corporate, American Legislative Exchange Council). Before he became British The prime ministerThe legendary Liz Truss met him most of the US that is correct think tanks, including Heritage, the Competitive Enterprise Institute, and ALEC. Later, when he became prime minister, many of Truss’ economic policies it was also made a lot and IEA. When Truss tried to solve the problems of Britain and higher taxes for billionaires (the Trumpian answer)he hurried laughed at the government and suddenly quit his job. Since stepping down as PM, Truss hasn’t done much other than that meeting with Donald Trump. Meanwhile, Rishi Sunak, the prime minister who served between Truss and Starmer, was also happy. close ties with America I am trying to do so provide “free market,” liberal principlesmany of whom were very unpopular.
Efforts to turn the West into an unconstitutional haven have been fueled by lobbying efforts to undermine confidence in free governments. We must remember that, at the same time that Musk wanted to attack Starmer’s liberal government, he also collaborated with many organizations and groups that support the social and economic movement of Britain to the right.
Me he recently wrote that Musk is the new Steve Bannon, meaning that Musk – like Bannon before him – helped Trump get elected by working as a communications chief who could galvanize politics based on the cultural and economic grievances of voters. Bannon, who helped Trump get elected in 2016, too appreciation and help bring American culture to British political culture. Bannon also supported Tommy Robinson long before Musk started writing about him. By 2018, Bannon was publicly praising the successful executive. In a leaked statement, Bannon complained: “Tommy Robinson is the backbone of this country. You lose guys like Tommy Robinson, you won’t have a country,” he apparently said in Britain. In February last year, Bannon appeared at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Maryland (along with Liz Truss) and called Robinson a “hero.”
What Bannon did quietly, however, Musk is doing in broad daylight. Through his platform X, Musk has managed to promote the misinformation and disinformation that seems to have caused people to lose faith in the Starmer government. Before his pro-Robinson tweets and his comments about dissolving parliament and street rape, Musk also used his platform to comment on stabbing episode which caused riots throughout Britain. Musk’s comments were also praised to increase the riots. Musk too soon called for a new election so that Starmer is voted out of office.
So although it may be happening on another continent, Musk’s efforts in the UK may seem similar to what he is doing in the US. and lead them to financial products created by the wealthy. That said, the program may work better in the US than it does in Britain, where the average IQ may be slightly higher.
