The Undertaker dominated WWE for 30 years. His feuds against Kane, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple Ha, Shawn Michaels and others placed him in the upper echelons of the industry. There’s no denying that stories involving ‘Taker are the stuff of legend.
Speaking during a recent episode What were they thinking? on Stage passJBL recalled the incredible story of The Undertaker in Iraq. The Hall of Fame said they were photographed at Saddam Hussain’s palace during their tour of Baghdad, Iraq:
“I mean, we, we stayed in Saddam Hussein’s palace. There’s a famous picture of me and the Undertaker on Saddam Hussein’s throne. There it is, the palace.” (09:33 onwards)
Elsewhere on the podcast, JBL revealed that he and The Undertaker were asked by American soldiers to play golf on Saddam Hussein’s porch during WWE’s visit to Iraq in the 2000s:
AEW’s top star just called one of his colleagues ‘spoiled’ and ‘narcissistic’ HERE.
“We’re in Saddam Hussein’s palace and Iraq. We’ve rarely, ever been in the Green Zone. We’ve always stayed in forward operating bases. And so I got Undertaker and I say, do you want to be a part of this? I think, and I don’t know what happening, but something happens and the soldier got a bunch of golf balls from the USO and pulled us out on Hussein’s porch and said, will you hit golf balls with us? the lake.” (from 25:45 onwards)
While JBL didn’t reveal who won the golf game, the former WWE Champion seemed to have a great time.
