LG has announced two new projects for CES 2025, which they call the successors of last year CineBeam Q. The PF600U may look like a stand, but it’s actually a projector that’s also a Bluetooth speaker and LED navigation light. The light has nine colors and five brightness levels, so you can customize it to create the look you want. Move its head, and you have a projector that can produce images up to 120 inches in size with FHD (1,920 x 1,080) resolution and 300 ANSI brightness. They can stream movies, shows and other streaming platforms through LG’s webOS.
The company’s other projector is a direct successor to the CineBeam Q. The CineBeam S is now LG’s smallest 4K Ultra Short Throw projector and weighs just 5.5 pounds. It can provide images as large as 100 inches – with 4K UHD resolution and a brightness of 500 ANSI – while requiring only “a few inches of wall space.” It has Dolby Atmos capability, and like the PF600U, it’s powered by LG’s webOS. The device has a metal finish and is designed to be portable, so you can easily place it wherever you want. Since it is designed to move around, LG has provided a smart device that can adjust its screen, change its colors depending on the wall, and adjust its image to fit the size of the room.
LG has not yet revealed the prices and availability of the projectors, but will probably announce more at CES 2025. To note, CineBeam Q will be available for pre-order in March 2024 and it sold for $1,299.
