Roy Keane sent a warning to Marcus Rashford as Manchester United star is eyeing the Old Trafford exit. He believes that the Englishman seems to have lost his way and added that the striker is distracted.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ Stick to Football, Keane said the switch would do ‘a lot of good’ for Rashford as he lost his hunger at Manchester United. He added that the striker must return to his best condition.
Keane said via Metro:
“Actually I don’t mind what he said, it’s spot on. Sometimes the job just falls through for everyone – it’s been going on for a year or two. There’s obviously some talent there and he’s been at the club since he was a kid. Probably he and his team would and the family would do well to go abroad. My only warning for such players – he (Marcus Rashford) has all these qualities as a footballer.”
“If you lose that hunger, it’s hard to get it back. We know for big players it’s not about the money – it’s about the next challenge and your pride. Marcus seems to have lost his way and he’s lost his He mentioned watches and everything those things off the pitch, and if it bothers him a bit, it might be difficult to get it back with a change of club and environment, but I don’t think his hunger will return at United,” he added.
Marcus Rashford has been left out of Manchester United’s squad for the Manchester Derby. He was not called up from the clash with Tottenham in Carabao Cup quarterfinals on Thursday.
Marcus Rashford spoke to Henry Winter earlier this week and hinted that he is open to a move away from Manchester United. He stated that he will not leave badly and that he will send a statement when the time is right.
he said:
“If I know the situation is already bad, I won’t make it worse. I’ve seen other players leave in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave, I will make a statement and it will be from me.”
Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Real Madrid have all been linked with Marcus Rashford. Foreign Saudi professional leagues are also monitoring the star English striker.
