It’s baaaack! After first production in August, Horror’s Greatest is back to host more videos and chats about the beloved little species. The first season was explored in adaptations of Stephen King, giants, Japanese horrors, horror comics, and tropes and clichés (with an emphasis on slasher films) – leaving a lot of room for more. This time, it is animal attack, movie scoreshidden gems, space hazards, and deadly days.
Many talking points repeat; it is clear Horror’s Greatest filmed both (or who knows) back-to-back seasons, and the list of interviewees includes David Dastmalchian, Kate Siegel, Joe Hill, Jona Ray Rodrigues, Gigi Saul Guerrero, Alex Winter, Tananarive Due, and the Boulet Brothers, among others. It is a group of people interested in creating horror films and media, where artists, writers, critics, and programmers are thrown. Everyone has a deep love and appreciation for the brand.
As before, the transitions are quick and the visuals are well-organized, with stop-motion and panel features that break up the dialogue in interesting ways. One example is the back-to-back lists of the cutest and scariest pets in the movie “Animal Attacks”; you can imagine that Who are you? falls into that category. Although there are differences between regions-Jaws comes a lot, for example, there is enough to cover this Horror’s Greatest it doesn’t feel like it’s repeating itself or stretching itself too thin.
Since the first season focuses on the visuals, the second season can be a little weirder, which it allows Horror’s Greatest to pass through some unknown place. This is a bonus for viewers who get a chance to learn about the underrated films, and a bonus for the talkies, who especially in the “Hidden Gems” section, which is an interesting combination section – enjoy being ignored. favorite, which includes many historical and international elections, and must be religiously superior.

“Killing Dates” may not be successful, because it has a very difficult line. It doesn’t feel as cohesive as the other parts, which works against it.
In that way, by expanding his interest a little, Horror’s Greatest season two tends to go beyond what most fans would consider “horror”. There’s a lot of sci-fi involved, even outside of the “Space Horror” part, and the show makes some claims that might confuse some. Or you wouldn’t, especially if there are a lot of “I’m scary, and proud” movies that have left the conversation.
Maybe that’s why we’ve got our fingers crossed for a third season? Five episodes in the second season of Horror’s Greatest starts today, December 31st, on Shudder, and airs every Tuesday until January 28th.
