Arsenal are reportedly still interested in a potential transfer RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Seskoalthough it will cost at least 70 million euros.
It will certainly be difficult for Leipzig to keep hold of Sesko, who has long been regarded as one of the best young strikers in Europe.
Arsenal would certainly benefit from signing Sesko, but it seems that this deal will not come cheap All transfers reporting that Leipzig will not let go of their star for less than €70 million.
Arsenal reaches the pole position for the star of the Bundesliga!
To be fair, Arsenal would probably need to pay if they want to strengthen their attack, and €70 million isn’t that much in today’s market.
Sesko may be young and yet to prove himself in the Premier League, but €70m could look like a bargain if he fulfills his potential.
In contrast, Newcastle United want as much as £150 million for Alexander Isak (according to Telegraph), which is certainly unattainable for Arsenal, and for most clubs.
Isak would probably be a dream signing for Mikel Arteta’s team, as he has already shown how dangerous he can be at this level, but AFC must be realistic.
Sesko seems like he would fit in well at Arsenal, as he is similar to Kai Havertz in his style of play, giving Arteta the kind of tall and physical centre-forward he likes to have in his squads.
However, there might also be an argument for selecting someone more like Isak, as it would allow Arsenal to mix things up a bit more.
Gabriel Jesus could in theory provide that alternative, but he has simply been too inconsistent in his time at the Emirates Stadium and his fitness record isn’t the best either.
